Jews, Christians and Muslims Worship the Same God
Religion is always a sensitive subject. If I say something that goes against your beliefs you will just tune me out because I am obviously an idiot. There is also the “faith” aspect that makes religious discussion difficult. St. Paul admonished us not to harm the faith of our brothers.
That said, do you realize that Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the same God? Do you know that each religion has murdered members of the other religions in the name of God? Doesn’t that strike you as just a little odd?
All people are not the same. Why would you think that God created only one true path to Him? Why would you believe that God only wants one group of people when God showed St. Paul that he wanted all kinds of people to believe in Him?
Have you ever read the Koran? Or the Torah?
Here is a really, really hard question. Have you ever read the Bible? Or do your just believe what you want to believe and not what God instructed you to believe. How can you claim to be a person of faith when you have never learned what your faith is?
Jesus instructed his followers to go out into the world to preach the gospel. He did not instruct his followers to murder anyone. He did not instruct his followers to insult anyone else’s religion or faith.
God gave us all free will. The freedom to decide for ourselves whether we will have faith in God and whether we will live life the way Jesus instructed us to live. It is fairly easy to determine who is a real Christian and who is not. You really need only to watch how they act. How often do you see the person with the fish symbol on their car speeding down the highway, cutting in line or making illegal turns that put themselves and others in danger? Are these the actions of a true Christian?
Jesus taught us to give up all our possessions and to feed and cloth the poor, the needy, the widows and the orphans. So explain all the opulent churches to me. Religious leaders will have much to answer for on judgment day.
Jesus warned us repeatedly about wolves in sheep’s clothing. (Matthew 7: 15 – 23) You know all about them. They want to burn the Koran in order to get more members of their church so that they make more money and have more power. Never mind that other people in harms way may be killed because of their actions. Wouldn’t you think that a real Christian would go to the Muslim countries and preach the gospel of Jesus if he really wanted to make a difference? Of course, there may not be air conditioning and cable television in those places and there may not be the media to plaster your face all over the big screen televisions. So, who do you really think such people are serving? God? Or themselves?
I don’t even think there is a question.
Jesus said that you can always tell a tree by the fruit it bears. What is it that you show the world? Do you act like a Christian? What does your behavior teach your children? That you come first and to have no consideration of others? How do you feel when someone burns a Bible or burns your countries flag? Why would you want to do that to others?
As you sow, so shall you reap. You will be judged by the life you have lived. Keep that in mind.
